Here's a look at what we did last week:

In writing workshop we continue to work on our information books.  We began writing the last chapter of our book.  This chapter is an essay of why our topic was important to the revolutionary war. We are following the same format of boxes and bullets that we used in our previous two writing units.  We hope to finish up our books this week so that we can print them out for everyone to see!

In math we started topic 16.  Last week we learned about lines, line segments, rays and angles.  We hope to finish up this topic before the last week of school!

We are awaiting our fish for our ecosystem which should be arriving any day now! The terrarium part of our ecosystems suffered from a little bit of mold, so we shall see what happens once we add our wildlife.

We had a great time on our field trip on Friday and the weather really held out for us! We learned a lot about the history of the Erie Canal and got to climb aboard the Tug Urger and take a look around.  Check out the pictures below!

Hi Abby!

Learning about the water!

Walking to Peebles Island for lunch

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!  Don't forget to send in a white T-shirt with your child to school tomorrow.  If you could write their initials or name with a sharpie on the collar of the shirt, that would be great.  Thanks!
